The Head Waiter is passionate about providing outstanding service and goes out of their way to give guests personalized service.

 

Requirements:

  • xtensive knowledge of the service sector
  • 3 years of experience in similar positions on river ships, or 4 & 5 start hotel (cruise experience will be an advantage)
  • advanced knowledge of English and/or German
  • knowledge of other languages would be an advantage
  • willingness to take responsibility

 

 

  • Responsibilities:

 

  • anticipates passengers’ needs and ensures that every guest has an exceptional dining experience.
  • set up  tables respecting the company standards
  • serve passengers according to the highest standards
  • makes meal and wine recommendations
  • politely provides answer to any questions guests may have regarding menu items and wine offers
  • attends all training sessions with superiors tries to further improve skills and service level
  • makes sure that the service coordinates with the kitchen
  • attends the loading of food, beverage, laundry and other items
